DUMBBELL ONLY CHEST & TRICEP WORKOUT
Benefits of training chest with dumbbells:
- Dumbbells allow a greater range of motion. You are able to lower the weights past chest level which maximises the stretching of the pecs and activates more muscle fibres as a result.
- Dumbbells place less stress on your joints. Your wrists are able to rotate slightly, and your elbows and shoulders can travel along the path that’s most comfortable for them.
- Dumbbells give you balanced development and strength. Sometimes when pressing with a barbell you will favour your stronger side. With dumbbells your left and right sides will have to push with equal force.
Equipment needed – Pair of dumbbells & adjustable bench (recommended)
Exercise 1
- Press ups – 10 reps x 3 sets
Exercise 2
- Bench press – 10 reps x 4 sets
Exercise 3
- Incline bench press – 10 reps x 4 sets
Exercise 4
- Chest flys – 10 reps x 3 sets
Exercise 5 (super set)
- Overhead Extensions – 10 reps x 3 sets
- Tricep dips – 10 reps x 3 sets
